The Intimate Partner Violence Nurse Training is a certificate program designed for nurses. In this 15-hour course, participants gain essential knowledge and skills related to identifying, screening, and responding to intimate partner violence (IPV). The program covers key concepts, definitions, and theories of IPV from public health, social justice, and legal perspectives. Nurses learn best practices for supporting survivors, conducting assessments, and collaborating with professionals from various fields. Upon completion, participants qualify to administer and score the Danger Assessment, a tool developed by Dr. Jacquelyn Campbell. This comprehensive training aligns with the International Association of Forensic Nurses’ IPV education guidelines and provides 15 contact hours in nursing.
