There are two Courses scheduled so far this year:
SANE-A Course: March 10-13, 2025 at Aiken Regional in Aiken, South Carolina
Cost = $450 (Call in to pay prior to course date)
SANE-P Course: July 29-August 1, 2025 being held in Rock Hill, SC.
A “pediatric SANE” stands for a Pediatric Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE-P) which is a specially trained registered nurse who is qualified to conduct medical examinations on children who may have been victims of sexual abuse; they provide compassionate care, collect evidence, and assess the child’s health needs in a sensitive manner specific to their developmental stage. Training to work as a SANE P requires nursing education that includes the understanding of child development, recognition of potential signs of abuse, and the performance of a forensic medical examination that is appropriate for children.
